Space Gif Animation

Get creative with your constellations and create some super cool, shareable gifs!

Patricipants will be provided with an overview of our solar system before creating their very own space inspired gif animation that they can share with their friends over messenger or online. Create a fun alien, a spinning planet, a rocket blasting off into space... the possibilities are endless!

Equipment Required/Apps: Computer, tablet or smartphone to gain access to the programme through the internet.

Life in Space: Adobe Creative Cloud

Ever wanted to get inside the mind of an astronaut for a day? With this workshop, you can!

Participants will be provided with an overview of our solar system and life on the International Space Station before they role play being astronauts in order to create their very own video, blog and web page detailing their experience in space. What was space like, what was their main job, what food did they eat, were they scared?

Equipment Required/Apps: iPad with Adobe Creative Cloud Express installed or a
computer with access to adobe creative cloud through the internet.
Format: Online via Zoom

Planet Earth: Spark Video and Webpage

This workshop will provide participants with an overview of Planet Earth, and how us humans living on it could do more to protect it. Participants will create their very own video, blog and web page which reflects and encourages others to create a better and more sustainable future for themselves and planet earth.

computer with access to Adobe Creative Cloud through the internet.

Rotoscoping Animation

Get to grips with this iconic animation technique all whilst learning about our solar system!

Participants will create an animation using the rotoscoping technique, transforming themselves into an astronaut, a futuristic cyborg, or other imaginable creature living in space. Within this workshop, students will learn key skills in animation, digital drawing and editing.

Equipment Required/Apps: iPad with Flipaclip installed or access to the app via the internet.

After Effects Animation

Within this workshop participants will be provided with an overview of our solar system, before creating their very own 2D space-inspired animation. The tone, format and style is completely up to them. Students will learn key animation skills using Adobe After Effects.

Our Solar System: Scratch Digital Story

Get stuck into digital storytelling and explore our universe!

Within this workshop, participants will learn all about our Solar System through the creation of their very own digital story using the coding platform Scratch. Students will learn the principles of coding, whilst developing an understanding of our Solar System.

Coding: Space Invaders

Within this workshop, participants will learn how to create their very own Space invaders style game within Scratch. Participants will be guided through the process of making and modifying their own game and how to change the difficulty level.
