Join us on Midsummer Common for a Picnic at the Planets ahead of the sculpture trail's onward journey from Cambridge.

Enjoy hands-on creative STEAM activities, guided tours of the trail, games from Living Sport, live music by The Lightwaves, sign your family up for Hunt and Darton’s interactive 'Great Planetary Make-Off'...and much more!

The day's activities will take place at tents located between Venus and the Earth along the sculpture trail. Bring a picnic and your favourite space supplies to settle in for this family friendly event. You can also grab a coffee or a bagel on site from local suppliers.

The full programmes of events and activities is free and open to everyone. We recommend bringing your own picnic blanket and a water bottle to fill up at one of the public filling points on Midsummer Common — our Trail Guardians can help you locate them if you're unfamiliar with the area.
