Tune into our live premiere on Sunday 2 September at 12.30pm and Join Chelsea Clinton for this special in conversation event where she discusses the importance of amplifying women’s stories.
Ensuring the rights and opportunities of women and girls remains a big piece of the unfinished business of the twenty-first century. Although we are living through a time of upheaval and tumult around the globe, we are also living in an era of gutsy women from all walks of life.
Joyce McCartan and Monica Williams along with the Northern Ireland Women’s Coalition were crucial to the peace process in Northern Ireland. Women made progress possible for all us. However, women’s work is more likely to go unrecognised – sometimes for centuries. It is past time for that to change.
Along with her mother, Chelsea Clinton wrote The Book of Gutsy Women to celebrate women who inspire them every day. They hope by sharing these stories, readers will take these examples to heart by finding their own unique way to make a mark on the world.
Following her debut on the Derry Girls Finale, Chelsea is joined in this special conversation with Derry Girls star Tara Lynne O’Neill (Mary Quinn). An incredibly versatile actor, she has appeared on stage and screen playing dozens of diverse roles. On screen, she appeared in Line of Duty, The Fall and the award winning film Omagh amongst others. Her latest play Rough Girls was filmed and aired on BBC 4 in early 2022.
