School Trail Guides required for Derry~Londonderry (Freelance)

Share the fun from the Sun to Mars as you provide an informative, exciting and memorable experience for little learners.

Inspire excitement and wonder as you meet, greet and guide schools and community groups on a journey through our solar system.

While telling the tales of our neighbouring planets, enthusiasm and personality are key in capturing curious minds. This is a highly engaging role, for those who have prior experience in working with children and young people. Encourage interaction while working off an adaptable tour script, and ensure the safety and security of both the location and its guests through crowd control, first aid and safeguarding. Become part of the Our Place in Space community, as you work alongside similarly warm and enthusiastic volunteers and team members!

This is a freelance opportunity with shifts subject to availability and bookings from schools. We aim to launch 4 tours per day.

Location: Bay Road Park / Derry City Centre

Rate of pay: £20-£25 per hour (based on experience)

Period of post: 25th April to 20th May 2022, with shifts between 9am - 3pm, Monday to Friday. Please note the occasional evening may be required.
